This transport included 1000 persons, of whom 172 children younger than 16 years. It was Compiled from 7 August and a week later, on 14 August, the 1000th name was registered, It became increasingly difficult to reach the predetermined number of each transport and at the same time to respect the transport calendar. More and more people are rejecting the “mandatory employment”. The convoy is completed with 269 people interned in the Dossin barracks without summons. The formation of the third convoy drained the collection camp. The calling system therefore appeared to be insufficient to continue the deportations.
Upon arrival on 17 August, 362 people will be registered. The other deportees are gassed in the gas chamber. It is the first convoy of the deportation from Belgium, of which the number of immediately murdered deportees – 63,8% - is more numerous than the registered prisoners. Of these, only 5 people will survive the war.
