About Saul Ossendrijver and his wife Clara Rodrigues Pereira.

Saul Ossendrijver, born 12 August 1881 in Amsterdam, was a son of Abraham Moses Ossendrijver and Cato Ansel. He married Clara Rodrigues Pereira on 17 March 1904 in Amsterdam, a daughter of the cigar maker Aron Rodrigues Pereira and Rachel Jessurun Cardozo. The couple had three children: Cato in 1905, Aron in 1907 and Abraham in 1910. Saul, his wife Clara and their children Cato and Abraham were killed during the Shoah. Only Aron survived the Holocaust

Aron Ossenddrijver, usually called Ronnie, was born 22 July 1907 in Amsterdam. He married 17 April 1935 Elisabeth Jacobs and had two children: Clara in 1936 and Elisabeth 1940. Aron was GP (general practicer) and had his practice in Utrecht at Nieuwe Koekoekstraat 20. The family lived at Joseph Haydenlaan 82 in Oog-en-Al in Utrecht and all survived the Shoah.

Saul Ossendrijver was cigar maker by trade and after the wedding in March 1904 he lived with his wife Clara at Tweede Oosterparkstraat 89 1st floor in Amsterdam-East. In November 1904 already they moved to Nieuwe Kerkstraat 22, where they have lived for six years. In 1910 they moved into a house at Camperstraat 163 parterre and after four more removals, to Rapenburg 112 2nd stock, again to Nieuwe Kerkstraat 21 2nd floor, in 1926 to Pieter Lodewijk Takstraat 12 1st floor, they came living on 12 July 1937 at Therese Schwarzeplein 19 1st floor in Amsterdam-East, which would also be their last known address in Amsterdam.

Saul and Clara were arrested on 16 Februray 1943 and carried off to Westerbork. There they had to stay in barrack 55 and were both deported to Sobibor on 23 March. There, on arrival on 26 March 1943, Saul Ossendrijver and Clara Ossendrijver-Rodrigues Pereira were immediately killed in the gas chambers
