The fate of Philip Louis Gompers

Philip Louis Gompers, the son of Joseph Gompers and Marianne Loonstein, fell victim during the 2nd  roundup that took place in Amsterdam in 1941, namely on 11 June. Then the Germans held that 2nd raid in Amsterdam that year, in Jewish cafes and sport clubs. This was a reprisal for attacks on buildings in use by the Wehrmacht. 310 men were arrested, including the 19-year olf Philip Louis Gompers and deported to Mauthausen on 26 June via Camp Schoorl. There he eventually lost his life on 24 September 1941.
