Lucie was born on 7 November 1903 in Berlin. In 1925, Lucie was living at Schönhauser Allee Nr. 103 and working as a buffet lady.
In 1935, she was working as a cashier (it's not known where).
According to The Ambiguity of Virtue by Bernard Wasserstein, Lucie was sheltering in 1942 at a home at 32 Nieuwe Amstelstraat, Amsterdam. It was owned by Gertrude (surname not known) who was trying to teach her to speak Dutch properly. (This book is on the internet and I don’t have access to the page where Lucie is introduced)
After her arrest, she was taken to the Westerbork Camp, in The Netherlands and was deported om 1 June 1943 to the Sobibor Camp, Poland where she was murdered. She died on 4 June 1943.
Lucie’s father was Otto Joachim Ascher, born 16 July 1855. Her mother was Ella Ascher (Herzberg), born on 22 June 1872, died on 23 December 1916, Berlin .
