Jonas' date of death is listed as 30 Sept 1942, which is a day that many prisoners who were chosen as labor in previous transports were gassed.
However, there is an official death certificate issued from the Auschwitz record books for a Jonas Elekan who was born on 18 April 1887 in Amsterdam. There does not seem to have been a Jonas Elekan born on that day in Amsterdam, so it is certainly an error and this death certificate belongs to Jonas Elekan, born 18 April 1897.
If so, Jonas Elekan perished on 22 August 1942 rather than 30 September 1942.
