The trains for the transport from Hamburg to the Danish border were organized by Obersturmbannführer Franz Göring (not related to Hermann Göring). Franz Göring was the right hand of the SS General Schellenberg. See also https://vanommen.de/

From an email from Jan van Ommen to the Editorial Board of the Jewish Monument (EG) of 10 January 2023:

The rescue of the Diamond Women (including Hendrika van Polen) and the Philips Women (including Jeanne Gompers-Barmes) to Sweden did not come about through Bernadotte. In an article from the latest issue of the Bulletin of the  Stichting Vriendenkring Neuengamme entitled “Mythe Bernadotte”, it was described as follows:The Philips and Diamond Women were sent from Hamburg to Denmark on 30 April 1945 on the initiative of SS man Franz Göring. After the shelling of the Red Cross vehicles on their way from Ravensbrück to Denmark on April 25 and 26, 1945, Bernadotte had refrained from further action by “De Witte Bussen” (see copy of a telegram below).

For years, the Danes have mistaken the women from Hamburg for women from Ravensbrück. First in 2002 clarification appeared in the book “Vi åker till Sverige” by Sune Persson. This version was taken over by Arie Wolfert in “With White Buses to Freedom” of 2018. Bernadotte's Wiki Page does not seem to be up to date in some points. Another little thing, during the action of the White Buses, Bernadotte's uncle Prince Carl was still president of the Swedish Red Cross and Bernadotte was vice president.
