Rachel Schelvis, born 24 January 1886 in Amsterdam as daughter of Mozes Schelvis en Marianne Wurms, married on 6 November 1907 Isaac van Kreeveld, a son of Joseph Isaac van Kreeveld and Leentje Nikkelsberg. From this wedlock one child was born, viz. Lena on 1 December 1908. The marriage did not last and was dissolved by divorce on 18 December 1922 in Altona (Germany).
Rachel remarried on 5 January 1927 in Amsterdam Hendrik Waterman, a son of Jan Waterman and Dirkje de Vries. Hendrik was born on 30 July 1877 in Den Helder. Both have survived the war: Hendrik Waterman passed away on 16 March 1951 in Amsterdam and on 15 October 1966 Rachel Schelvis in Amsterdam.
