About Grietje van Praag-Fransman and her spouse Mozes van Praag.

Grietje Fransman was born on 28 July 1867 in Amsterdam when her parents, Leendert Fransman and Dora Meijer Menist, still lived at Joden Houttuinen 41.  Grietje married Mozes van Praag on 15 May 1889 and their address after the marriage became Joden Breestraat 29. Mozes van Praag was a son of Aron van Praag and Brechje Stouwer and he was a shoemaker/shopkeeper by profession.

The Van Praag couple had six children, namely Arnold in 1893, Leendert in 1895, Meijer in 1898, Bertha in 1900, Debora in 1903 and Marianna in 1909. Meijer died in childhood in 1899, only 13 months old. Leendert survived the Holocaust and died at the age of 64 in Amsterdam on 17 January 1960. Arnold and the three Van Praag sisters, on the other hand, were murdered during the Shoah.

Mozes van Praag died in 1931. He was 64 years old and was buried on 26 June 1931 at the Jewish Cemetery in Muiderberg. Ten years later, on 18 February 1941, Grietje van Praag, Fransman, died at the age of 73 and was also interred in the Jewish Cemetery in Muiderberg.
