About Catharina Querido-Sarphti

The husband of Catharina Sarphti survived the war. In 1942 she was still engaged to him. The husband bought a symbolic grave for her on Ouderkerk. According to tradition Catharina died in Theresienstadt of dyphteria.

Widow Rosalie Sarphti-Lappeman and her family

Rosalie Lappeman married in 1898 to Isaac Sarphti in Amsterdam. He died in 1931. They had three children, of whom two survived the war. Rosalie and Catharina were employees of the Jewish Council during the war at the department 'aid to people who are leaving'. Catharina married on 29 June 1943 in Amsterdam.
