Eliseba Onderwijzer was a daughter of Levie Onderwijzer and Cato Leemans. Levie and Cato had a family with six children, of which four have passed away before the war. Her brother Samuel was killed in Sobibor at the same day as she herself. Before Eliseba lived in Den Haag, she resided in Rotterdam. She was unmarried.
