Rebecca Bartha van Wittene was a daughter of Levi van Wittene and Betje Braasem. She married in Middelburg on 28 August 1918 to Maurits Vriesman from Amsterdam, son of Berend Vriesman and Henriette van Aalst. The couple had three children: Levie Berend, Henriëtte, and a son who fled in 1941, together with his father Maurits to France; they have surivived the Holocaust.
