My grand father Louis van Loon, married to Rosalina Gosler was a traveling salesman. He traveled through the East of Europe.
It was a very happy marriage, they got two children: Marianna Sarah( Mary) and Abraham Louis ( Aby).
Toen de situatie steeds angstiger werd zorgde mijn opa en oma ervoor dat hun kinderen konden onderduiken. Mijn oma’s een na oudste broer: Jacob Gosler(Jaap) zorgde voor onderkomen voor Mary in Ooster Blokker bij de familie Konst. Daar was mijn moeder echt gelukkig en bleef er tot einde oorlog. Mijn oom Aby trof het niet. Geboren in 1942, 6 februari, werd hij eind ‘42 bij zijn ouders weggehaald en van Utrecht naar Den Haag, naar uiterlijk Zuid Limburg ondergebracht. Aby werd verraden in Utrecht en in Den Haag.
When the situation got worse my grandparents and the oldest brother of my grandmother made sure the children could hide. My mom Mary went to Ooster Blokker and stayed at a familiy named Konst. She was very happy there and stayed until the end of the war. My uncle Aby was betrayed twice as a baby of 9 months and ended up in the South of Limburg
Both my grandparents were betrayed and ended up in Auschwitz, where they were murdered very soon.
