Isaac Blits was born on 10-Aug-1870 in Amsterdam as the fifth child of Simon Hartog Blits and Leintje Koopman and was the next younger sibling of Mietje Blits. Isaac registered for the military on 18-Mar-1890. He is reported as having bodily defects (lichaamsgebreken) and was released from service. He was 157cm tall with brown eyes and blond hair. Isaac married Heintje Pach (b. 19-Nov-1869) on 07-Jan-1891 in Amsterdam. At the time their first daughter Leintje Blits (b. 13-Mar-1891) was born, they were living at Batavierstraat 77. According to the archive card, Heintje and Isaac had a child, Levie, who died on 18-Jul-1892.
Isaac Blits sailed to New York on 28-Aug-1926 aboard the Nieuw Amsterdam. It is presumed that he visited his sister Mietje Blits during this trip.
By 1932, the family lived at Tweede Boerhaavestraat 11 II. Isaac was a merchant manufacturer. Isaac and Heintje had two other children, Simon Blits (b. 07-Jun-1835) and Fietje Blits (b. 20-May-1893 in Amsterdam, d. 29-Oct-1983 in Bussum) who lived until adulthood and one other child Naatje Blits who died on 15-Oct-1899 in childhood.
Isaac Blits and Heintje Pach were both deported to Westerbork on 01-Apr-1943, where they were housed in Barrack 73. They were both among the 2,862 deportees who were transported on the 13th transport to Sobibor Concentration Camp in Poland on 25-May-1943. The transport arrived on 28-May-1943 and there were no survivors. Both Isaac Blits and Heintje Pach were killed on 28-May-1943.
