Saartje Vis was a daughter of Israel Jacob Vis and Debora Heijmans. She married 20 December 1905 in Utrecht to Alexander Emanuel Polak from Gouda, son of Saul Hartog Polak and Sara de Jong. Alexander Emanuel Polak however passed away already on 24 April 1925 in Utrecht.
The couple had two sons: Saul Alexander Emanuel, who did not survive the Holocaust and Jacques.
