Volgens het Zwolse bevolkingregister was Betsij Sara rijkstelefoniste van beroep. Zij trouwde op 17 dec. 1929 te Zwolle met Emiel van Geuns, koopman. Op dezelfde dag vertrok Betsij vanuit Zwolle naar Groningen.
