About Mozes Philip Elshof

Mozes Philip Elshof (known as Moos) opened a kosher beef and veal butcher shop on the Rolderstraat in Assen in 1933. He was involved in the local operetta association and regularly played in operettas performed around Sinterklaas. Some Jews in Assen considered this a sign of assimilation.
