Leo Blumenthal

Leo Blumenthal was a son of Jakob Blumenthal and Klara Karolina Hecht. He was born 26 February 1907 in Fulda (D) and he earned his money as a merchant in leather goods. It is not known how many siblings Leo had but it is certain that he had a brother Markus, who was born 22 May 1908 in Fulda and another brother Lothar Ludwig, who was born there in 1920.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 18447) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 1142/2496).
