About Geertje van der Hal-Hoogstraal

Geertje Hoogstraal was a daughter of Salomon Hoogstraal and Carolina Bernard. She married 18 August 1932 in Amsterdam to Hartog van Hal, a son of Comprecht van Hal and Geertje Hoogstraal.
Beside she self, also her siblings have been killed during the Holocaust: Hartog, Paulina Jansje, Grietje Schoontje, Abraham and the still at home living Ephraim and Simon.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 36403) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 4651/3686).
