According to a relative Mozes Filip (Maurits), Sara (Saartje) and Abraham (Ap) Spier formed a harmonious family. The family paid for going into hiding. When the money was finished they were put on the street and therefore lost their lives in Sobibor.

De koffer van Sara Spier-Huisman is te zien op een foto, die werd gemaakt op 5 juli 1943 in het Oostelijk Havengebied in Amsterdam.
