Fritz Heymann

Fritz Heymann attended grammar school and studied in Heidelberg and Bonn. He fought as an officer in the First World War and stayed some time in British captivity. He graduated in 1921. Then he worked in business and then in journalism. After several moves, he settled in 1937 in the Netherlands. There Querido publishing house brought out his book: Der Chevalier von Geldern. Friedrich/Fritz Heymann was in hiding in Amsterdam with his mother, not his wife.
His mother survived the war - she gave archival material to the Leo Baeck Institute, NY, where it is available online.
His last correspondance was with Franz Littmann in Jerusalem.

Fritz is een zoon van Joseph Heijmann (Geldern, 13 maart 1861 - Dusseldorf, 9 mei 1936) en Mathilde Rosenkranz (Kassel, 17 oktober 1871).
