Records from concentration camp Majdanek (Lublin) show that Asser Sondervan died there at the end of 1942. It is possible these data are different from the official day and place of death as established after the war by the Department of Justice.

Asser is een zoon van Mordechai Levie Sondervan en Hester Cohen. Hij trouwde 28 december 1905 in Zaandam met Rachel Wijnberg (25 jaar, geboren in Amsterdam), dochter van Abraham Wijnberg en Marianne Polak.
