Abraham Bas, butcher by profession, was a son of Hartog Bas and Sientje Peperwortel. He married Chaje Trobuschicht from Odessa in Amsterdam on 22 Mei 1907, a daughter of Moisje Trobuschicht en Hanna Mochalik.
