Gerda, Manfred, Gerhard and James Friedländer are children of Jakob Friedländer born Bromberg, 26th of April 1897 and Berta Nartelski born Koningsbergen, 23th of March 1898.
Jakob Friedländer was interned in Gurs Camp in France, and deported from Drancy Transit Camp on 09.02.1943 to Auschwitz. The fate of his wife Berta remains unclear. (Klarsfeld, Memorial de la Deportation des Juifs de France, 2012)
