Leentje Tonninge was a daughter of Mozes Tonninge and Rijntje Metz. She married 31 December 1930 to the widower of Vrouwtje Velleman, Isaac Witsenhuijsen, son of Abraham Witsenhuijsen and Clara Waterman.
In Isaac's first marriage to Vrouwtje Velleman, four children have been born, of whom three have died at very young age and one son has survived the Holocaust.
