Salomon is een zoon van David Blitz (A'dam, 6 dec 1863) en Rachel de Jong (A'dam, 14 feb 1864). Hij trouwde oktober 1920 met Betsie Löwenstein (A'dam, 6 mei 1898), dochter van Engelina van der Horst en Mozes Löwenstein.
Samen kregen ze een dochter, Rachel, geboren 23 september 1922.
