Nathan Velleman, a merchant, was married. He and his wife had a child. The family lived in Amsterdam. As a resistance worker, Nathan Velleman was a member of the Comité voor Vrij Nederland. He established connections with England. On 1 March 1941 he was caught in Amsterdam and held at the prison in Scheveningen. He was deported to Auschwitz via a few German prisons (Rheinbach, Siegburg).
