Werner Lewin

Werner Lewin and Bertje Härtz married on 17 August 1942 upon learning they would be deported to Germany. The couple held the huppah at the home of the bride at 22 Albert Hahnstraat in Amersfoort. Werner Lewin was a musician and Bertje Härtz an office clerk.

Werner Lewin, a pianist, lived at Wörther Str. 27 and at Stubbenkammerstr. 6, both in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, prior to emigrating to Holland in the late 1930s.

If Bertje Härtz was indeed deported, she most probably must have survived, as there is no record of her at Yad Vashem.
