A postcard from Bernard Wolf of 6 December 1939 from Amersfoort to his sister Greta and her husband, the Vorselman family in Amsterdam, reads:
Dear Jan, Greta and kids, I have received your card. In the first place congratulations with Kokkie. As nerveous as I am normally, as calm I was with this rubbish. (probably Bernard has meant the convocation with call for the mobilization). I did not like it but if there is no other possibility, it should be. All best greetings from Bernard Wolf.
