Mozes van Bueren lived in Deurne (Belgium) with his wife and child when the war broke out. The family fled to the unoccupied part of France. When the Nazis seized control of this area, Mozes van Bueren was arrested. On 6 March 1943 he was deported to Majdanek from Drancy. He did not return.
