Sippora Mendes da Costa was the daughter of Raphael Mendes da Costa and Sara Fano. She married on the 29th of June 1882 in Arnhem to Bernard Henri Beer. Sippora and Bernard Henri were the parents of three daughters: Celine Beer and Marianne Frederika and a daughter who died before the war and was only two weeks old.
