Bertus Trijtel, a photographer, lived in Amsterdam. He was unmarried. He was involved in espionage as a member of the resistance and was a member of the Oranjebond. On 24 September 1941 he was caught in Scheveningen and deported to Mauthausen via the prison on Scheveningen and the concentration camp at Amersfoort.
