Sara Cohen was the daughter of Levij Anthonie Cohen and Eva Oppenheimer. She lived at Bouwstraat 11 in Rijsen and worked as a vendor. In 1933, when she turned 77, she placed the following notice in a local paper: 'Sara Cohen turns 77 on Boxing Day. Still in good health and able to walk on her own.’
