Lewie Härtz

Lewie Härtz was a student at the primary school in Harderwijk, also known as the French School. When he was in first or second grade an excursion was made to Hulshorst. The pupils went by train. They walked along the Polish Allee and ate cheries at the open air restaurant 'De Zwarte Boer'. In the afternoon the children returned by bus.

Hartog Härtz and Jetje Conen married on 28 August 1901 in Hoogeveen. The couple had five children of which one child survived the war.
