Else wrote more than 100 poems since she was 9 years old.
The words of her last poem before her brutal end in 1944 were:
..."Darum bitt ich Dich o Gott,
schenk statt aller Sorgen,
statt der trueben Herzensnot
mir ein gluecklich Morgen!"
