Hoogstraal - Additional Information

Salomon & Carolina Hoogstraal had 9 children. My mother Frouke (born 16 January 1907), was the second oldest. She married Abraham van Gelder in 1938 and was in Java during the war, and settled in Cape Town, South Africa after the war. (they had 2 children, me and my younger sister Carolina Mirjam (Carole) who married Ron Clift and lives in Cape Town, They have one daughter, Joy) The youngest child was Jette (Jael), who married David Leshniver (Lanir) after the war and settled in Kibbutz Givath Brenner after the war. (they had 3 children, Shaul, Lea and Yuval). A younger son had a daughter, Carla (Ziva) who lives in Tel Aviv.
