Leo Simon was a German refugee. He came to the Netherlands with a Kindertransport on December 7th, 1938. First he stayed at the quarantine facility in Amsterdam, then in Ruinen (Noorderhuis), and in Amerongen (Onze Bliscap) before he was laced with a family in Amsterdam in July 1939.
His parents, Isabella Berg and Siegfried Kahn, were supposed to emigrate to the US.
