Margot was a German refugee. She arrived in the Netherlands on January 11th, 1939. First she stayed at the Zeehuis in Bergen aan Zee, than at Overvoorde in The Hague and at Huis ten Vijver in Scheveningen. She lived with a family in The Hague for a while and then moved to Laren (N-H- where she also lived with a foster family.
Her parents were Frieda Feldblum, born in 1886 in Krakow and Zacharias Neidel, born in 182 in Warsaw. Both of them were deported to Poland in October 1938. Margot's sister married a Dutchman and was living in Paris during the war. Her brother-in-law was trying to get Margot to France.
