Ziena Morisco-Frankenhuis

Ziena Frankenhuis, daughter of Heiman Frankenhuis and Sophia Meijer, married 6 September 1911 in Enschede Levie Morisco, a cigar manufacturer from Numansdorp and son of David Morisco and Rebecca Reens. She passed away 18 April 1942 in Schoonhoven and was interred in the Jewish Cemetery in Schoonhoven. (her name appeared in the Civil Registry also as Gesina.  Her nickname Sientje was found too but …

The mayor of Schoonhoven requested that David Heiman Morisco and Heiman David Morisco, watchmakers residing at 5 Dam in Schoonhoven, be located, detained and brought to trial. They had left their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.
