Jacob Samuel was married to Louisa Meijer. The couple had two children: Betje Schoontje (nicknamed Betsie) and a child that survived the war. The family lived at 101 Rijssenschestraat in Nijverdal (Hellendoorn community), where Jacob Samuel had a textile business.
