Michaël de Vries and Helena Wilhelmina Lansberg were married and had three children. Their eldest daughter, Henriette, died at the beginning of 1940. Their eldest daughter, Mathilda Nelly, was was involved in political activism. She was arrested early in the war. The third child was married to a non-Jewish man. She, and her family survived the war.
