Of Elkan Rokkestikker, son of Jacob David Philip Rokkestikker and Roosje van Gelderen remains a copy of his birth certificate. There is also a wedding certificate, showing that Elkan Rokkestikker married Naatje de Jong, daughter of Abraham Israel de Jong and Rebecca de Jong, on 17 July 1913 in Zaandam. They received their chuppah in Zaandam on the same day.
Elkan Rokkestikker was a broker. The couple had two children. They lived at 36 NooRder Amstellaan in Amsterdam. One of the children survived the war; the daughter called Roza (married to Simon Kool) did not survive the war.
Elkan Rokkestikker and his wife wrote letters from Westerbork to their surviving child. Those letters also remain.
