The name of Maurits Salomon Weinberg appears on a handwritten list of the individuals who held offices within the Dutch-Jewish Community in Haarlem during the early years of the war. Photos remain of all the staff members. Maurits Salomon Weinberg was a substitute head and administrator of Social Affairs with the Dutch-Jewish Community in Haarlem.
Maurits Salomon Weinberg was married. The couple lived at the Rustenburgherweg 21 in Bloemendaal.
The police commissioner of Bloemendaal requested that Maurits Salomon Weinberg, a merchant, be located, detained and brought to trial. He had been living in 21 Rustenburgherweg in Bloemendaal. He was suspected of having changed his place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding. The police also sought to locate his wife and two children.

We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.
