In September 1945 an obituary appeared in the Nieuw Israëlitisch Weekblad for: George Sandelowsky (father and father-in-law), who had died at age 66; Rosa Sandelowsky-Wulff (mother and mother-in-law), who had died of typhus in Tröbitz at age 53; Peterle Sandelowsky ('our little sunshine and hope for the future') who died at eight months; Aron Cohn (father and father-in-law), whom 'we had to leave behind near death on 9 April' and Gitella Cohn-Pels (mother and mother-in-law) at age 52.
