Levie Jacobson was the son of Mozes Jacobson and Saartje Reigenheim. He married Grietje Lea Hartog in Borculo on 5 August 1920. She was the daughter of Joseph Hartog and Mathilda Cohen.

Levie Jacobson was married to Grietje Lea Hartog. The couple lived at 16 Oosterstraat in Ter Apel. They had a daughter named Saartje Mathilde Jacobson. Levie and his brother Philip owned a cattle dealership called Gebroeders Jacobson. The firm traded other goods as well, such as shoes. In 1934 the firm was dissolved, and the assets (four cows and nothing else but debts) were divided down the middle. Levie also received a batch of hay and purchased the shoes from his brother at half their value. Levie Jacobson surrendered a bicycle in Ter Apel.
