The Kohn family is mentioned in the memoirs of Professor G. Wisse, a Reformed minister, who lived in the same rest home – the Christelijke Rusthuis (Christian Rest Home) in Doorn. Dr Baruch Kohn and his family had been on their way to Argentina. They broke off their journey in the Netherlands when the husband of their daughter Margit fell ill. After their deportation Wisse tried in vain to get the family freed through Kees van Geelkerken, the deputy leader of the NSB.
