Hartog Benjamin van Dam was married to Maria van Geens. The couple had two children, a son Abraham Elie and a daughter Estella. The family lived at 1 Dapperstraat in Tilburg. In the summer of 1942, the son Abraham Elie went into hiding, but he was caught and deported.
