Jacques Cohen moved from the town of Nijkerk to Amsterdam in 1905. he started a printing house at Kloveniersburgwal 58 hs. In 1928, the Cohen family and the printing business moved house to Kloveniersburgwal 60. Jacques Cohen sold his business to L.J. Bakker in 1933. The Cohen family continued to live upstairs from the printing house.
