On 23 April 1925, Meijer Vorst married Henriëtte Fles. After their wedding, the couple settled in Paris, where Meijer Vorst worked in a furrier. Their son Rudolphe (nicknamed Rudi) and their daughter Nicole were born there. At the start of the war, the family returned to Amsterdam, from where they were deported.
