Barend Davidson and his family

Barend Davidson was married. The couple had one child. They lived at 22 Jufferenwal in Zwolle. Barend Davidson was originally a cattle merchant, but from 1940 onwards he worked as a travelling salesman in the paper trade. He was a member of the Ordedienst (OD) and of the Stijkelgroep, both of which he gathered intelligence for.
Barend Davidson made plans to go to England. On 3 May 1941, he was caught and deported to Berlin via Scheveningen. In Berlin, the Stijkelgroep was prosecuted in court, resulting in him and his comrades to be given the death penalty. He was killed on 4 June 1943 in the Berlin suburb Tegel at the age of 36.

We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.
