Aaron Gompertz and his family

Aaron Gompertz and Hester van Leeuwen had eight children: Simon, Levie, Abraham Aaron, Alexander (died in 1927), Benjamin (died at a young age), Klaartje, Sophia (died at a young age) and one child who may have survuved the war.
Their son Levie Gompertz was married to Lucienne Emilie Cadet, who died in 1929. The couple had no children. Before the war Levie Gompertz lived for some time in Bruxels and Marseilles. His adress in Marseilles was 3 rue d'Endoume. After his arrest he was brought to the transitcamp Drancy. On 20 May 1944 he was deported to Auschwitz, where he died.

We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.
